Here is the problem with their new policy:
First:
HOW can you send their item that they buyer paid for if you can not access the funds? Most products include shipping? WHY should you have to use money from your own pocket to send off an item if the buyer sent you additional funds for shipping?
Second:
HOW can the seller be held responsible for the product arriving to the buyer? Once the seller can show a confirmation number (which btw is an additional .65 cents) that they have shipped off the product, the seller's responsibility should and DOES end there. Pay Pal wants to see that the item arrived in a timely manner BEFORE they releasea your funds. NEVERMIND you ship the same day, have a delivery confirmation number, it has to arrive first and you have to wait THREE EXTRA DAYS after it arrived so the buyer has time to complain to Paypal if it was the correct item. UM...isn't that what eBay is for? Is it our fault if the Post Office loses the item in the mail?
Just like what my husband was trying to explain to the SENIOR SUPERVISOR Steph employee # 8514 (apparently there is no one above her at this organization).... If you are shopping online at a company such as American Eagle, Wal-Mart, Target, Pottery Barn...You use your credit/debit card. They take your funds immediately. ONCE the Seller aka one of the before mentioned RECEIVES payment THEN they send off your package via delivery company aka USPS, UPS, FED EX, DHL..Once it is in their possession the Seller is NO LONGER RESPONSIBLE for how fast it arrives. The buyer is aware of this! Once the buyer receives said project, they then go to their eBay forum and leave feedback desired or if it was purchased off eBay, they email the buyer if there is something wrong. If they are out money well they dispute with Pay Pal and if Pay Pal finds the buyer in the right, the give the buyer back their money via the Seller's account. HOW DIFFICULT is this?
WHY does the seller have to wait for over a week plus (at minimum) to receive their funds when they have done everything in their power to get this item to the buyer AS SOON AS POSSIBLE? HOW is it the SELLER is responsible for the delivery of the item when they NO LONGER have the item in their possession??? They say the buyer has to leave positive feedback before you get the money released...well if they don't get the product because you can't ship the item because they have your funds on hold that include their shipping costs, then of course they WILL NOT LEAVE YOU POSITIVE FEEDBACK! Hello??!!?? Let's use your noggin here people!!! It does not take a Public Relations GENUIS to figure this out!
